National portrait Gallery and Fabiola

Lovely bootiful sunny hot day in London on saturday...but spent most of the afternoon inside the National Portrait Gallery www.npg.org.uk. Happy now, I have seen the BP National portait awards.

At the National Portrait Gallery I was also amazed by the Fabiola room?....a painting of Saint Fabiola (painted by Jean Jacques Henner in 1885) went missing in 1912. The image was copied by hundreds of artists around the world over the last century. Artist Francis Alys trawled flea markets and junk stores to collect 300 copies of the image.

Why St Fabiola?... www.we-make-money-not-art.com/archives/2009/07/fabiola-by-francis-alys-at.php

Still tinkering about with these. Inspired by Urban outfitters, I thought a play around with some geometrics. Though I am going to have to stop, as yes we have it.............a migraine, lovely.

Skull overdose.

Alexander McQueen - Skulls, Skulls and more skulls

Now, I'm fond of the odd skull....though at the moment skulls are everywhere, meh. I like the poison ring (forget the skull) and dare I say knuckle duster clutch bag.
